Delaying my haircut and shoppin!

Posted by -Orchid- en
T.T

Yea, postponing my long awaited haircut

and REAL shopping due to work. Yes, at this point of time after graduating there is still presentation to be done and things to read up! Ah, it's not entirely a bad thing but well, I suppose almost everyone does not fancy the word "deadline". Anyway, I am more than happy to do work when I do have the time (like now).

I have not shopped in ages. So, the next time I do my retail therapy it's gonna be full blast! Ah, cannot wait for next week! To-do list:
1. Haircut
2. Buy a few dresses+ office wear(blouses and skirts)+ shoes
3. Splurge on fav food/snacks
4. Bake cookies?
5. Get another frameless glasses
6. Buy coloured pens + cards

WHAT ELSE?!!??! Oh man, cannot wait!!!!

Anticipating the good times ahead,

Saturday saturday...

Had a good lunch at greenview restaurant. Ordered salad prawns, herbal chicken, kai lan (vege) and stir fried fish fillet with ginger and spring onions! What a hearty and satisfying meal!

Anyway, time to go and nap and then prepare my presentation slides! It's very very late and I am positive my preceptor is by now indifferent about me submitting to him! This is bad. Seriously.

Ciaoz for now,

cluttered

That's the state of my mind now. I hate this. I need to bounce back to my normal self soon. Time is ticking and it's not waiting for me nor is it waiting for you. Sometimes I just feel inadequate. The longer I am in the working world, the more I feel that the world is an evil place with many many evil inhabitants in it. Of course, there are still those nice ones who really are God-sent, but the chances of having these people around you is low. Ah, I am writing this entry with no definite content. Be reminded: Cluttered mind. Toodles for now, need to get things done for presentation.

Still having a bad painful throat,

How do I get there?

Posted by -Orchid- en
I was driving back home from old work place. As I was not chasing for time, I decided to take a turn and look at the big and modern houses that have been developed in my neighbourhood. They cost a bomb ( at least to me) and as I drove through the super spacious, straight, well-swept and well-maintained road leading to the guarded community, I suddenly felt motivated. I was not envious, just wondering how I can get a nice house like that one fine day. Ah, dreams. I would like it to come true (duh!). I do not think I am being materialistic or anything along those lines, but isn't it nice to own such a nice property?! If you are the type who visits show houses at some newly developed neighbourhood, you would understand what I am trying to convey here. Haha. Anyway, this is what I am talking about. Have a look:

There must be a way ( please, I am not gonna do anything illegal to get it lah),

True Love desu ka?

Posted by -Orchid- en
The title above translates to "True Love is it?".

Ever wondered what true love means? The bible has the perfect description on Love in the book of Corinthians 13:4-13.

I read my daily devotional this morning. The topic of discussion : Choose Love. According to the author, there are two choices: Hollywood love where love will fade and either one of the partner will become unhappy with the other, OR love as described in the bible. The author continue to write, " But what if love doesn't mean " what makes me happy or meets my need this very moment"? God loved the world so much that He.... What? Tingled with happiness? Got wobbly in the knees? No. God loved the world so much that He gave his only begotten Son". It really sounds too sacrificial, but I suppose it's not impossible. God did this and expects us to follow?

So peeps, Love has to be patient. Love is not easily angered (currently trying to work on this one). And Love is NOT selfish. It's sacrificial. You see someone you love happy, you're happy. Choose Love. Choose TRUE Love, ok?

A night so lovely

It was my friend, C's wedding.

She invited me to her wedding reception. That's probably because I think at one time I DID casually (plus jokingly) say "Hey, don't forget to invite to wedding!". Luckily I said that because it would be quite a waste if I missed attending her marvellous wedding dinner!

Thinking back, the first time I saw her was when she was bunking at the living hall in JBC, Glasgow. She was most of the time sitting down at the couch when she was at the living hall, tidying up her clothes and packing her luggage. It was then I thought I went over to say hi to our new temporary neighbour and one line led to another and she became a quite an acquaintance. She had to leave a couple of days later, and she flew back to Malaysia while I had to endure a year's of bungling up with studies and house chores (of course there were fun times along the way too!). Then when I was about to graduate she flew in again and that was when we spoke a lot through MSN and I can still vividly recall her complaining about her husband (at that moment, bf) not spending much time with her on skype! Trying to show empathy, I too voiced out my take(and also complain-lah) on guys and them being totally indifferent to our feelings at times. Hahahaha, boy, those were the days.. I suppose the thing that brought us together was that we had things in common- we were both good complainers and at the same time good listeners! I am glad our paths crossed and I sincerely wish both bride and groom happy happy forever and a day! May the Lord bless them both and may they find happiness in having each other's company every day...
